We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a trustworthy contractor for our renovation project. We registered and posted our needs, but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.

Was Checkatrade a Total Fraud?
We thought we were doing the right move by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so legitimate with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
First, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.
In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's helpline was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.
We're left feeling disappointed and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.

My rundown with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I hired a trader through their website to handle some essential home repairs. They appeared legitimate at first, but it check here ended up a terrible ordeal.
Although I paid the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into thin air. Communication ceased. It's been months, and I'm still left with unfinished repairs.
